Digital Governance: Confronting the Challenges Posed by Artificial Intelligence grew out of the first LAIR Conference in 2023. The book is an interdisciplinary edited volume that addresses the legal and regulatory challenges raised by rapidly advancing AI technologies. Drawing on contributions from scholars across law, policy, and technology, the book examines the disruptive impacts of AI in areas such as liability, data protection, platform governance, and institutional design, and explores how integrated frameworks of digital governance can offer legal and societal solutions. It provides both conceptual foundations and practical insights for academics, policymakers, practitioners, and anyone interested in how law and regulation can meaningfully govern AI in a complex digital age.
